Dustin Fletcher didn’t make it outdoors today at training. The 29-year-old spent time cross-training inside in the gym while the rest of the squad had an intensive 90 minute skills session. Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy said there was nothing suspicious about Fletcher's absence, he was just having a light night.

Sheedy also hinted that he might consider playing Fletcher up forward this Sunday against Melbourne. But just to bamboozle everybody, he said Fletcher was more than likely to line-up at fullback on Melbourne skipper David Neitz in the next breath. So the master coach was up to his old tricks again today.

But one thing for certain is that Fletcher is available to play this weekend after his report for allegedly charging Brisbane’s Anthony Corrie was withdrawn by the AFL yesterday.

Fletcher doesn’t sport the most flattering tribunal record and no doubt he was concerned about his report after the incident. In the second quarter of the Round 12 match against Brisbane, he was no where to be seen. Daniel Bradshaw kicked five goals on him and with five minutes remaining in the term, Fletcher was dragged to the bench.

""Dustin just hit a flat spot in the game after that incident. The amount of times he has been up (at the tribunal), he is probably thinking where am I,"" Sheedy said before training today. ""I really think it is a classic case of when you actually get reported and you are found not guilty and it harms you in the game.""

Sheedy expects Fletcher to bounce back this weekend against Melbourne. In the corresponding match last year, Fletcher took the honours on Neitz. He kept the 2002 Coleman Medallist goal less and mark less in the first half. Neitz finished with just one major for the game, so Fletcher will take confidence out of that match.
