A solid team performance against Richmond has delivered Essendon their fourth win of the season at the MCG tonight.

Leroy Jetta said the Bombers were relieved to string back-to-back wins together with the 35-point victory putting Essendon’s season back on track.

“It was a great win by the boys,” Jetta said.
""We knew Richmond was going to come out and play pretty hard so it was good to get the four points.""

The Bombers had plenty of options in attack with fourteen individual goal kickers providing Essendon with the ammunition they needed to put the Tigers away.

“It was a great effort to see so many guys kick goals today,"" Jetta said.
""It showed there was a great effort by the forward line and the midfield.""
David Hille dominated play, finding the ball easily around the ground, controlling hit-outs and kicking three goals.
He was named best on ground with coach Matthew Knights describing Hille as looking ""menacing"" in the forward line.
Jetta was also influential for Essendon, saying the work-rate of players across the board allowed the Bombers their convincing victory.

“I think everyone put up their hands today which was great to see,” Jetta said.

“We discussed our work-rate as a group last week and it is something that ultimately won us the game today.”
Jetta kicked one goal - and was unlucky not to kick more - and created a number of scoring chances for teammates with his tackling.
Jake Melksham (ankle) is in some doubt for Friday night's huge clash with the Western Bulldogs while Fletcher (back) is expected to play.
