Essendon Football Club would like to thank all those involved in the Walk in Harmony to the Dome on Sunday 8th April.

Over 600 people of various ages and cultural backgrounds took part in the day in an attempt to understand and commit to the benefits of living in a country that embraces common values of respect, fairness, participation, acceptance and a fair go for all.

The activities kicked off at the Flemington Community Centre where participants were treated to performances from local multicultural music and dance groups and had the opportunity to meet Skeeta and all the Essendon players who did not take part in the game against Fremantle.

They then walked over 3km to the Dome and concluded their journey with a lap of the ground.

Essendon Football Club would like to thank all football and non-football followers who got behind this event to show their support for such a great cause.

In particular we would like to thank the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, Victoria Police, the City of Moonee Valley, Metlink and the Australian Football League for helping us celebrate Australia’s success as a diverse society united by a common set of values.
