Peter Wright has earned full marks in round eight's AFLCA votes for his dominant performance in Essendon's win.

Wright kicked a game-high six goals, with senior coaches Ben Rutten and Sam Mitchell both agreeing the 25-year-old's presence was instrumental to the Dons' crucial victory.

Darcy Parish claimed seven votes for his industrious 32-disposals effort, which saw the All Australian move to top of the AFL for total disposals in 2022.

Captain Dyson Heppell earned four votes for his commanding game across half-back which included 12 intercepts, while his deputy Zach Merrett was awarded three votes for his 28-disposal effort.

Nic Martin continued his stellar start to his AFL career, claiming two votes alongside defender Mason Redman.
