There were mixed feelings from Bomber fans over Aaron Henneman’s season. After an indifferent year, Henneman was given a 3.24 ranking from fans slightly up from the 3.09 he received in 2004. Fans believed the tough task of playing in the ruck early in the season with injuries to David Hille and Matthew Allan, denied him opportunities in other positions.

""Another frustrating year for Henno, in fairness caused by ruck shortages in the team this year meant Aaron didn't get much of a chance to play in one position consistently. Would be looking for a big year next year after not really grabbing his opportunities to shine this year."" (Rob Paterson)

""Aaron is a great player with a lot of courage. Unfortunately injury has prevented him from showing off the talented footballer he really is!"" (Brodie Wells)

""Aaron was forced into the ruck early in the season, often being unable to prove his worth as a tall forward/defender, and was given a lot of criticism for it."" (Anna Harrington)

""Started well, but faded. Could be a special player, but needs to put in the hard yards. Give him another chance, play him right through next year, and he could be our rock down back when Fletcher retires."" (Ricke Dovey)

""Tried hard early as an under sized ruckman, and I know he gets criticised a lot, but I remember a season a couple of years ago when he played a lot of games in a row in a backline position, and I really thought we had found a player. I hope he can build belief, and get back to that leaping, punching, backman again. With confidence, could be versatile to, remember those two early goals he got in one game at the G this year. Keep at it."" (Mark McManus)

""Disappointing year, not entirely his fault as he was played out of position. Gave 100% when given the chance, however Aaron is not a ruckman. Conceded a number of goals when rucking against experienced opponents in back line. Coaches must find a role for him in team or may be best advised to move to another club."" (Sam Marguglio)

""Needs to use his size and weight more to his team mates advantage. Be a more solid contributor, back himself and get the ball more."" (David Meredith)

""Always tried hard in a position that isn't really for him. Would like to see him back to 2001 form as third key defender."" (Matthew Holzer)
