Essendon's first-ever AFLW season has been locked in after fixtures for 2022 were announced.

The Bombers will begin their AFLW season with a two back-to-back blockbuster clashes against traditional rivals Hawthorn and Carlton at ETU Stadium, Port Melbourne.

With seven home and away games to be played in Melbourne, the Dons will travel interstate three times this season with trips to Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide to take on West Coast, Brisbane and Port Adelaide respectively.

Key highlights of this season’s fixture include the third annual AFLW Indigenous Round across Rounds three and four, featuring the first-ever AFLW Dreamtime match between Essendon and Richmond.

Another highlight of the season will be a trip to Western Victoria when the Dons take part in the Country Festival clash against Geelong in Warrnambool.

The season features games played at suburban venues, making it vital for Dons fans and members to secure their tickets or memberships to ensure attendance.
