Two Essendon players have scored nine AFLCA MVP votes in the side’s stunning win over Brisbane.

Midfielder Jye Caldwell and forward Peter Wright both earned the second-highest vote tally on offer after producing stellar performances.

Given the job to nullify Lions superstar Lachie Neale, Caldwell not only did that in limiting the Brownlow medallist to 21 disposals but grabbing 26 of his own.
