EXPERIENCED BOMBERS SET TO RETURN
Essendon selectors will be faced with the pleasant problem of having to fit up to four experienced players into a winning side this week. Paul Barnard will return from suspension while Dustin Fletcher and Joe Misiti are almost certain to return from injury. Sean Wellman is an outside chance of returning. ""I would rate Fletcher and Misiti as 90% chances of returning and Wellman 70%,"" fitness coach John Quinn said on Bomber Radio last night.

Quinn is also confident that the side will not be adversely affected by a six-day break going into the ANZAC Day clash with Collingwood next Friday. Collingwood will be coming off an eight-day break going into the game. ""I think the fact that Collingwood has had to travel and play in Brisbane probably evens things up a bit,"" Quinn said. ""We did recovery immediately after the game and the players have pulled up pretty well. They will be in good shape come next Friday.""
A young and undermanned Essendon side ran out victors over the Western Bulldogs tonight by 19-points. It was a team effort that saw the old and new Bombers’ combine brilliantly for their second win for the season. The team fought hard all night and when the game was up for grabs it was Essendon that took control and finally overran the determined Bulldogs in the fourth term.
