Mark Bolton will be feeling the heat this afternoon when he aims to record back to back wins in the 3.2km time trial at Princes Park. The 24-year-old recorded the fastest time in early November after fighting off James Hird, Matthew Lloyd, Jason Johnson and Adam McPhee. Bolton is one of the Bombers' fittest, but he will have his work cut out for him with a number of players in pristine physical condition. According to fitness coach John Quinn, the players have been running some fast times this preseason.

""I am looking forward to the time trial this afternoon. It gets pretty competitive between the players and I know a few of them are keen to run the fastest time. We have been doing running sessions every Tuesday morning over the pre-season and compared to this time last year, the majority of players are running faster times, which is an encouraging sign,"" Quinn said.

The team will undergo other fitness tests this morning such as skinfolds and conduct a light weights session before heading to Princes Park this afternoon. Quinn said he is impressed with the condition the squad has returned from the Christmas break in. ""The players were given individual training programs to work on over the two week break. I wanted them to enjoy themselves, but that being said they have a commitment to themselves and the team to continue working hard on the track and return in good shape,"" Quinn said.

The BomberLand team will bring you all the news from the Bombers' 3.2km time trial at Princes Park later today.
