Essendon's VFL side has continued its strong pre-season form with a commanding 46-point win over Frankston.

The 14.8 (92) to 6.10 (46) scoreline was another great result for Leigh Tudor's men as they prepare for the upcoming VFL season.

With seven AFL-listed players included in the side, the Bombers' polish and ball-use cut through a determined but wayward Frankston outfit.

Matt Guelfi was superb in his first competitive hitout this season as he proves his recovery from a calf injury. The 2022 third-place Crichton medallist was dogged in his forward pressure and impacted the scoreboard with multiple majors.

Forward-turned-defender Kaine Baldwin was a rock at full back, thwarting attacks with strong intercept marking and composed ball use. Kyle Langford was used in defence and looked above every opponent with ball in hand as he pushes his case for round one selection.

Will Snelling was also a class above with is ball use and craftsmanship in the forward 50.

In the squad's primary VFL list, reigning runner-up best & fairest Sam Conforti was a constant presence in the game with his work ethic on the wing, while Brad Bernacki showed why he's a player to watch in 2023 with some strong contested ball work in the middle of the ground.

Train-on ruckman John Jorgenson also impressed with his tap work and aerial abilities around the ground after coming on in the second half.
