Zantuck is still listed as being two to three weeks away from playing because of a stress reaction in his shin. But that is very much on the conservative side and a scan this week could pave the way for him to play in his first Anzac Day match in the red and black.
""It just depends what the scan tells us this week as to where we go with him next,"" Essendon football operations manager Dom Cato said. ""If we get the right result it is not beyond the realms that he could play against Collingwood. But if there is any hint that the stress reaction remains we will take the conservative approach with him.""
David Hille remains listed as being two weeks away from playing with his torn calf is still proving troublesome. But Matthew Allan is only one week away from resuming having missed the past couple of games with knee soreness.
Andrew Welsh will have a fitness test this week after copping a heavy knock to the shoulder during the second quarter of Saturday night’s game. He left the field and didn’t return however his is a better than 50-50 chance of playing against the Magpies.
Courtney Johns is now just one month away from playing football while Andrew Lee has a further six-weeks of rehabilitation to complete to rid himself of osteitis pubis.
