You, the fan, rated the performance of every Essendon player in the Fans' Report Card. You told us what you thought about the 2002 form – who played well, who improved and who needs to lift next season. Not surprisingly, 2002 best and fairest winner Mark Johnson and his namesake Jason Johnson were given the highest rating of 8.6 from the fans, followed by skipper James Hird with a rating of 8.2. Other players to poll well were Sean Wellman (7.8), Danny Jacobs (7.8), Dustin Fletcher (7.6), Damien Peverill (7.7), Adam Ramanauskas (7.5), Mark Bolton (7.4), Scott Lucas (7.2) and Joe Misiti (7.1). The fans were slightly disappointed with the performance of some - with injury ususally the major reason - but felt that with reasonable improvement in 2003, the Bombers will again be a very difficult team to beat.
The Build up with the Bombers weights program is well underway and the feedback from participants is they are starting to feel the benefits from their hard work.
