It's been a challenging season to date for the AFLW Bombers but Maddy Prespakis' form has been a shining light.

In her fifth year as a Don and eighth go-around in the highest level, the 25-year-old has been unflappable in elevating back among the competition's best and is displaying incredible composure in a side under pressure.

Bomber fans are seeing first-hand the fruits of a sedulous off-season labour for the Romsey-born star, who's running out games as well as ever and assembling absolutely stacked stat sheets.

Maddy Prespakis fires the opening two majors and shows her tackling prowess in a scintillating term.

Where others faltered in the sweltering heat of Darwin's Dreamtime clash, Prespakis flourished. A game-high 32 disposals and two goals put the league on notice to her resurgence very early in the campaign.

The past month alone has seen Prespakis enter career-best territory - she racked up 34 disposals, four clearances and five tackles on the road against the Dockers before backing it up by amassing a whopping PB of 38 disposals with four clearances against the Suns at home.

Approaching the back half of the campaign, Prespakis is on track to eclipse all of her personal disposal records, sitting second in the league for average touches (32 per game) across the season to date - well up from her career average of 23.

From that, she's also looking to do more damage with her elite footskills. Prespakis is going at a career-high kick-to-handball ratio of 2-1 and still leads the competition for effective kicks despite drawing tight attention from opposition taggers as the Club's most prominent on-ball asset.

For reference, after just seven rounds this season Prespakis has already racked up 70 more possessions than she tallied in the same amount of games from her league Best and Fairest year in 2020.

With a stack of internal and external honours already under her belt including three All-Australian blazers, there's every chance Prespakis could add to that long list at the end of this season if she continues this trajectory.
