Diamond Don members heard from Hird about the year ahead and the exciting young players on the Essendon list. Hird was followed by Sheedy and Harvey who gave an in-depth look at what members can expect from the team on-field in 2004. Haynes also had a chat to the Diamond Dons about his current injury and when he expects to be back out on the field. Haynes is the Diamond Dons sponsored player.
Essendon chairman, Neil McKissock, thanked the Diamond Dons and coterie groups in general for their on going support to the football club. After the formalities, Sheedy, Harvey, Hird and Haynes mingled with the members whilst enjoying the view of the city from the Windy Hill Social Club.
