Essendon forward Kyle Langford was rewarded with seven AFLCA votes for his stellar effort against Sydney in round 20.

Langford booted an equal-career high five goals against the Swans, taking his season tally to 40 alongside his 18 goal assists.

Joining Langford in the votes with five of his own was Captain Zach Merrett, whose 39-disposal effort headed the late Bombers fightback.

Jye Caldwell continued the strong second half of his campaign, racking up 27 disposals and 11 clearances to take three votes.

Defender Dyson Heppell also saw three votes come his way, providing a composed and assured hand in defence for the Dons throughout the night.

Merrett's season total of 70 AFLCA votes leads Essendon for the season, good for ninth best in the competition.
