The Bombers will be without Daria Bannister for their clash with Fremantle after the forward sustained a concussion during their round three match against Adelaide.

Head of Medical Services Megan Smith said Bannister is recovering well from the incident.

“Following her concussion on Saturday, Daria has entered concussion protocols and will miss at least one game,” Smith said.

“She is recovering well, with minimal symptoms. We will continue to monitor her and she will slowly progress back into training at the appropriate time.”

Essendon could also be without midfielder Amber Clarke for their round four clash with Fremantle after the 18-year-old suffered a knee injury in the Bombers’ loss to Adelaide.

Clarke will be managed throughout the week and will have to train fully later in the week to be available for selection.

In positive news, Lily-Rose Williamson has progressed with her recovery from an ankle injury, with the midfielder commencing on-ground running.
