AUSSIE2 from upper pakenham says: Hille will be our number one ruckman together with Laycock resting up forward or on the bench. This will leave Ryder to become one of the greatest chf we have ever seen.
Eric from Wodonga says: Having David and Paddy both healthy is a wonderful, wonderful thought. And a healthy Jason Laycock in the wings as insurance ... now that's what I'd call a 'healthy' situation. Bring it on!!!
pricey18 from Ivanhoe says: All three should play important roles in the team in 2010, rotating through the ruck; forward 50 and bench. Ryder is best at the centre bounce, Hille better at ruck contests around the ground, and Laycock may be more useful than both as a Key Position Forward.
Joanne McSWAIN from Taylors Lakes says: Don't forget how much David had improved before he did his knee. He is a gun and will allow Paddy to develop into a star. Last chance for Laycock this season.
Matt McPherson from Vic says: Laycock to rise from the ashes and be the player we all knew he could be, Paddy floating across half back like Fletch and Hille smashing packs to get to the ball and kicking goals from outside 50. Good times ahead folks.
Gayle Haworth from Victoria says: I hope David Hille makes a strong recovery and can take on the No 1 ruck job in 2010. Paddy Ryder can help out, of course, but he will be able to show us more of his magic all over the ground if not having to compete in every ruck contest. I hope Jason Laycock can contribute, whether because of injury I don't know, but I haven't seen him do much yet. Good luck to them all!!
Gareth from Tas says: David Hille without doubt!!!!!!! to even raise this poll unnecessarily questions Hille's talents. Granted he had a knee injury this year but is definitely our best Ruck. Ryder to be picked as a second ruckman who can play forward and back when needed. Where is Bellchambers in this poll???? He is our third option for sure....showed a bit this season and is still quite young. Will develop into a solid contributor for many years to come. Sadly I think that Laycock has missed his chance and the rest have passed him.... lets hope for the sake of the mighty Bomber machine and his career he can prove me wrong.
Philip from Huntly, Victoria says: I think David Hille and Paddy Ryder should share the role in 2010, forget about Jason Laycock he should be given the flick.
Greg Sloan from Somerville VIC says: Gotta be David Hille. Ryder is fantastic but probably more versatile than David. Having said that, I still want to see Paddy in the ruck because David is a great forward option. And as for Jason I'm still a believer.
Samantha from Delahey says: I have missed Hille out there, and am very anxious to see him a part of the mighty bombers in 2010. Will give Ryder more room to run around and take some screamers. Ryder is a versatile player...Gonna be an even better side with Hille back.
Shannon from Adelaide says: HILLE always b no 1 ruck while playing, RYDER WILL BE OUR VERY OWN CHAMPION OUR BEST PLAYER OUR MATCH WINNER AND MAY KICK BAGS OF GOALS LIKE GOODES AT TIMES!!!! RYDER FOR THE BROWNLOW ONEDAY!!!!!!
Kerry Huston from Qld says: Here's my prediction. Laycock will, again, be the worst ruckman in the competition.
Julian from Prahran says: Early on in the year, Paddy may have to be No. 1 while Hille regains fitness, but once he is fit, Hille should be no. 1, with Ryder playing mostly up forward.
anonymous from NSW says: 27 people said Laycock! what silly billies.... but who knows what will happen.
David Turnbull from Canberra says: Hopefully, David Hille will be fully fit after the knee reconstruction. Before his injury he was one of the best ruckmen going around, and showed ghreat maturity in a leadership role as well. With Hille in the ruck, we have the freedom to use Paddy down back or up forward...a great asset. And Laycock helping in the ruck and going forward against tall teams will be a bonus. Let's cross our fingers on David's recovery! His return would open up some great options.
Joel Porretta from says: David Hille easy.
gordy from warringa says: If jason laycock can come good for the dons next year, everything seems to change .... david hille can loll in the fp, slowly recuperating, in a hille/williams/hooker forward line, and paddy can then station himself on a wing, where he can run hither and thither, marking at will ....
Maranatha from Ferntree Gully says: I think it's only logical that Hillie should be in first ruck next season, and number one. Paddy has had a breakout season playing in that position, so I suppose with Hille coming back, Paddy will have a change of role, giving David a chop out when he needs to rest up forward during matches.
Nashy from says: Hille in the ruck Changing with Ryder in the forward line !!!
