One of the most interesting and little known players on the Essendon list heading into the 2010 pre-season is 18-year-old key forward Michael Still.
 
The strong marking goal-kicker focused on completing his year 12 studies in 2009 but will now turn his full attention to playing football.
 
This week we ask: Is there a place for Michael Still in the 2010 Essendon forward line? Can the 2008 TAC Cup star earn a place in the side or will Scott Gumbleton, Jay Neagle, Mark Williams and co fill the spots.

Last week we asked 'who will be Essendon's number 1 ruckman in 2010?' and David Hille dominated with almost 84% of the vote from Paddy Ryder with 11.68% and Jason Laycock with 4.35%.

Gareth from Tas says: David Hille without doubt!!!!!!! to even raise this poll unnecessarily questions Hille's talents. Granted he had a knee injury this year but is definitely our best Ruck. Ryder to be picked as a second ruckman who can play forward and back when needed. Where is Bellchambers in this poll???? He is our third option for sure....showed a bit this season and is still quite young. Will develop into a solid contributor for many years to come. Sadly I think that Laycock has missed his chance and the rest have passed him.... lets hope for the sake of the mighty Bomber machine and his career he can prove me wrong.

Julian from Prahran says: Early on in the year, Paddy may have to be No. 1 while Hille regains fitness, but once he is fit, Hille should be no. 1, with Ryder playing mostly up forward.

David Turnbull from Canberra says: Hopefully, David Hille will be fully fit after the knee reconstruction. Before his injury he was one of the best ruckmen going around, and showed ghreat maturity in a leadership role as well. With Hille in the ruck, we have the freedom to use Paddy down back or up forward...a great asset. And Laycock helping in the ruck and going forward against tall teams will be a bonus. Let's cross our fingers on David's recovery! His return would open up some great options.

gordy from warringa says: If jason laycock can come good for the dons next year, everything seems to change .... david hille can loll in the fp, slowly recuperating, in a hille/williams/hooker forward line, and paddy can then station himself on a wing, where he can run hither and thither, marking at will ....

Maranatha from Ferntree Gully says: I think it's only logical that Hillie should be in first ruck next season, and number one. Paddy has had a breakout season playing in that position, so I suppose with Hille coming back, Paddy will have a change of role, giving David a chop out when he needs to rest up forward during matches.

Ben Thompson from victoria says: David Hille should be no.1 ruckman by far because he's done it the longest and when he's in ruck he sometimes wins the game for us from the way he clears it. I reckon he's close to being the best ruckman in the competition.
