Essendon is likely to be without Mason Redman until after the mid-season bye.
The defender was a late withdrawal for the Dons’ clash with Carlton on Sunday after failing to shake some calf soreness coming out of the Brisbane game.
Initially hopeful to play, scans late in the week confirmed a minor calf strain which will now see Redman likely to miss the next two games.
Similarly, Jordan Ridley, who continues to progress well from his hamstring strain is on track to return against Gold Coast in Rd17.
Kyle Langford, Zach Reid, and Saad El-Hawli, are also expected to return to play straight after the bye.
