The Essendon Football Club is proud to announce an exciting extension of its partnership with RMIT University, which is already building on a long-standing relationship established through the Essendon Education Academy program.

The new multi-year agreement will see RMIT University become a commercial partner across the Club’s AFLW and VWFL (Victorian Wheelchair Football League) programs in 2025, 2026 and 2027, as well as our AFLW Dreamtime Partner in 2026 & 2027.

Through this agreement, RMIT will serve as the Official University Education Partner of the Club and continue as a valued Community Partner.

RMIT’s College of Vocational Education Deputy Vice-Chancellor Mish Eastman said the extended partnership aligns with the University's values.

"RMIT is ranked as the 5th best university in the world for reducing inequalities," Ms Eastman said.

"We are very committed to making education accessible to people from all backgrounds.

"Our support of Essendon's AFLW and VWFL teams flows from our belief in diversity and inclusion. We believe everyone deserves to feel welcome and valued - whether in sport, study or work."

RMIT University will benefit through national exposure through Essendon’s AFLW and VWFL gameday, digital and social channels and the opportunity to connect with the Club’s strong community work across the country.

Essendon CEO Craig Vozzo is proud of the extended partnership with RMIT University.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with RMIT University, who are a long-standing and highly valued supporter of our Club and EEA program.

“This partnership extension not only strengthens our AFLW and VWFL programs but also demonstrates a high level of commitment and value across our wider Club.

“As the Official Community Partner for AFLW Dreamtime in Darwin in 2026 & 2027, RMIT will now help support and grow community initiatives surrounding the Dreamtime match, which will help make a difference in the wider community.

“I’m excited to see what our Club and RMIT University can achieve together over the coming years.”

Essendon looks forward to working closely with RMIT University to bring this partnership to life for the next three years.
