Essendon secured an experienced talent in the Continental Tyres Trade Period this year, finalising a deal on Tuesday to bring in Brayden Fiorini.

The Dons locked away Fiorini after the 28-year-old had nominated the Club as his destination of choice on the opening day of the window, exchanging a future third-round pick with Gold Coast for his services.

A crafty winger who’s also shown his capability as an inside midfielder, Fiorini established himself as a consistent performer on the Gold Coast over 10 seasons and 123 games, averaging 20 touches from 18 appearances this year.

Despite entering the off-season as an unrestricted free agent, the Bombers opted to trade for Fiorini to ensure they wouldn’t dilute the pick they received as free agency compensation for Sam Draper’s departure.

At the conclusion of the window, Essendon currently enter the 2025 National Draft with picks No.5, 6, 21, 27, 30, 83 and 101 at their disposal.
