The election of Welsh and O’Sullivan will be formally declared at the 2025 Essendon Football Club Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, December 17. They have been elected for a three-year term and will continue on the Board alongside Directors Tim Roberts, David Wills, Anthony Di Pietro, Anthony Howard, Catriona Larritt, Dorothy Hisgrove and Ted Richards.
Essendon Football Club President Andrew Welsh has paid tribute to Club Director Andrew Muir, who today resigned from the Board after 11 years of service.
Muir joined the Essendon Board during one of the most challenging periods in the Club's history and has been instrumental in guiding the organisation through significant change and growth.
"Andrew joined the Board at a time of great need for the Club, following one of the most difficult periods in our history," Welsh said.
"His strong governance lens helped guide the Club through that challenging time, and we came out of it stronger because of his commitment and perseverance."
"I have always admired his commitment to wanting the Club to be great in all aspects and how he has challenged us to be excellent," Welsh said.
"His high standards have pushed us to be better, and the Club is in a better position because of this mindset."
The Essendon Football Club thanks all candidates and members for contributing to the election process.
CorpVote Pty Ltd ran the independent voting process, which was conducted as a secret ballot.
