What the fans said:
“Promising game against Fremantle shows he has ability.” David Bergman
“Limited time but did show glimpses that were reassuring to the clubs future. Will benefit from another preseason under Sheeds.” Scott Carr
“Never really given the chance, but when he did get a go seemed to know where the ball was. Very happy with his performances when playing. Needs to step up as full time in and under midfielder next year for us.” Luke Fensling.
“Every game he played was with a lot of determination. Sure he will be a good player in the future.” Jessica Hayward
“The games he did play in the seniors were good as were the games in the reserves. It was a shame he was riddled with injury during the season.” Amanda Knox
“No influence in 2 games late season games. The jury is still out.” Geoff Cliff
“Good kid who seems to be able to 'find the ball'. Possibly sill lacks some strength in the contest and a yard of pace. Has had limited opportunities at senior level.” Tom Gorman
Didnt get enough opportunity due to injury. Glimpses late in year of ball getting ability, MUST improve disposal.” Ross Jones
THE WASH UP:
Most fans found it very difficult to assess Marc Bullen’s season given his limited opportunities at senior level and his injury problems in the early part of the season. However they liked his ability to win the hard ball and believe he could be a long-term prospect in the midfield for the Bombers.
MARK HARVEY SAYS:
I’m not surprised the supporters found it difficult to assess Marc’s season. He has certainly had his fair share of injuries and hopefully he has now put them behind him. Fully fit we think he has the ability to be a very good player. He finds the football and is aggressive. He needs a solid pre-season – 2003 is a very important year for him.
