A terrific all-around performance from Essendon was reflected in the AFLCA voting from Saturday.

After breaking his career-high with 37 disposals in last week's defeat to the Dogs, Archie Roberts upped himself once again with 42 touches, 15 marks and a goal in the weekend's win, taking home a perfect 10 votes from the coaches.

Vintage performances from the longstanding midfield partnership of Darcy Parish (seven votes) and Zach Merrett (four votes) were crucial in the 45-point victory - the pair combined for 65 disposals, 22 score involvements and 12 clearances in dynamic displays.

Isaac Kako's electric form up forward earned him five votes - 84 per cent of his 19 possessions were effective and he added two goal assists to the couple he kicked himself for his best performance of the season so far.

A combative effort rucking, supporting the defence and even drifting forward late, Peter Wright's three votes was due reward for a well-rounded four quarters. The 29-year-old led the side in contested possession and clearance, eventually hitting the scoreboard to cap off his day.
