In conjunction with the Windy Hill Venue, Essendon RSL and the Moonee Valley City Council, the Essendon Football Club hosted a Dawn Service at Windy Hill on Saturday morning.
CEO Tim Roberts spoke to the significance of the day, the Club's involvement and the story behind its new guernsey for the clash with Collingwood in 2026.
Essendon RSL President Norman Wittingslow and Moonee Valley Councillor (and lifelong Bombers supporter) Ava Adams also gave spirited addresses to a crowd which turned out in strong numbers to kick off Anzac Day at the Bombers' home.
The Club thanks all involved in helping to facilitate the event.
