The final match of the 2001 home and away season promises to be a fantastic contest. The Bombers v the Tigers in front of 75,000-plus at the MCG. For Richmond a top-four finish and the double chance beckons. For Essendon it is the chance to build on the momentum generated by its resounding victory at Subiaco last weekend. Richmond has won five of its past six matches. Admittedly all those wins have come against sides in the bottom eight but nonetheless you can only defeat what is put in front of you. Winning form is good form and they will go into this clash with the Bombers high on confidence.
