Former Bombers esports star Carlo 'Looch' La Civita has returned to The Hangar as the team's new AD carry.

Role swapping from mid laner to ADC, Looch was a pivotal member of the Abyss/Bombers squad from 2015-2018 and will take over from Victor ‘FBI’ Huang, who recently departed the Bombers in a transfer to America Challenger Series team Golden Guardians.

A talented mechanical player who's proven his ability to play both mid and ADC at a high level, Looch reached No.1 on the solo queue ladder for both roles.

Head of esports Nathan Mathews said he was thrilled to have Looch return to the Bombers.

"When we lost FBI to Golden Guardians, we had to be creative with our recruitment strategy to ensure we remained in contention for our second OPL title," Mathews said.

"While role swapping a player can have its risks, we are extremely confident in Looch's mechanical ability to go head to head with the region's top ADCs.

"Rogue (captain Jake Sharwood) will play a bit part in Carlo’s development as a player and we will see their partnership grow as the season gets underway."

Looch's signing rounds out the playing line-up for Split 2, with the new Bombers coach to be announced on Wednesday.
