Dangerous forward Mark Williams is expected to be rested for a second weekend after an on-going heel complaint flared up.
The 27-year-old has played four senior games for the Bombers in 2010 after being recruited from Hawthorn but has struggled recently in the VFL.
""It's one of those ones (injuries) that have been nagging him for a little while and it has probably gotten worse so we gave him the weekend off last weekend,"" Hamilton said on The Recovery Room today.
""He hasn't done much training this week so he is in some doubt and we have sent him off to have some MRIs and will know more in the next few days.""
Hamilton said the club is confident the issue isn't serious but couldn't put a time frame on Williams' return to the field.
In better news from the medical rooms, David Hille and Angus Monfries are recovering quickly from hamstring strains.
""Both have Grade 1 (strains) so whilst they are serious to one extent, we expect them both to be back after the break. They won't play this week and then there is the bye and then the week after we would hope, if all progresses well, they will both be available.""
Vastly improved midfielder Heath Hocking will play on Friday night despite suffering cuts to his mouth during the loss to Geelong.
""He's not going to win any modeling contracts at the moment,"" Hamilton said.
""He has a lot of stitches inside his mouth, outside his mouth and on his chin so he's looking pretty rough and ready but that won't stop him playing.""
Essendon's injury list shrunk further with news Cale Hooker has fully recovered from a hamstring strain and is set to play on Friday night.
""He has had a great year and has a reasonable record against Lance Franklin and we are really glad to have him back in the side,"" Hamilton said.
