Star Bomber defender Sean Wellman continues his daily diary of the Bendigo training camp. It is day two and Wellman keeps Engine Room members up to date with what the team has been up to.

The dinner on Tuesday night was a good function and it was nice to mix with Bendigo people. Bendigonians seem to be really supportive of Essendon cominghere and hopefully the Bendigo Bombers will be a competitive team on the field and the community gets behind it. I stayed away from the dancefloor - you don't want to see medance. The guys definitely enjoyed the cover band, but I've got two left feet.

We did a pool session yesterday morning next to the QEO and didsome swimming and recovery work after the session. Then we were off to breakfast and it was just the usual - cereal, toast and a bit of fruit, but I think some of the coaches requested bacon and eggs. The coaches are a little bit spoiled and I think they got theirbacon and eggs. I love my bacon and eggs on a Sunday morning, as you have totreat yourself occasionally.

Scott Lucas, Cory McGrath and I went to Eaglehawk SecondaryCollege and spoke to the Year 8 students, who are doing a youthprogram about self-esteem. They fielded some fairly fiery questions, such as how much do weget paid?, but we didn't really answer that. The kids were just interested in how we came through the ranks and they were a terrific bunch.

We had some lunch back by the pool back at the hotel and it wassandwiches - the food has been fantastic at the hotel; they havereally looked after us. It's a good pool out there and I just relaxed there for a couple ofhours.

I pulled out the John McEnroe book again and prepared somenotes for the youth forum last night so I didn't make a goose of myself.I went out to Kangaroo Flat training and was impressed withthe quality of the training and enthusiasm. I joined in with the guys, had a bit of a kick and it was good fun. They've obviously got a good coach in Phil Carman, and I think they'll have a good year. I'll be barracking for them anyway.

Luke West from the Bendigo Advertiser caught up with Wellman.
