Matthew Knights says it is unlikely there will be any changes to the side for this Friday night's big clash with the Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
The coach said he was happy with the efforts of the side that recorded a strong win over Sydney on the road last week.
Angus Monfries is expected to be rested again this week as he recovers from a hamstring strain while Knights has earmarked Nathan Lovett-Murray and Hayden Skipworth as two names that could feature in the selection mix.
“I would think that there wouldn’t be many changes this week pending on everyone getting through training this morning. I think it would be pretty much the same line up that we took to Sydney,” Knights said.
“Probably Skipworth and Lovett-Murray are the two pressing for selection when we have to make the final decision. Both of them have been solid this year so we will certainly have a look at those two. Angus is more likely to be the following week.”
A far greater choice of artillery this season has created headaches for Knights at the selection table but it is a dilemma he has been happy to face.
“Last last year we got to a point where we had only 24-25 players available in the last eight weeks,"" he said.
""At least this year we have some personal that are pushing for spots like Bachar Houli, David Myers and Nathan Lovett-Murray.
“It’s a bit different to last year where we didn’t have too much artillery left to bring into the team but this year there is a lot more selection pressure.”

Knights has also been pleased with the return to form of a number of experienced players including Brent Prismall, Andrew Welsh, Mark McVeigh and Dustin Fletcher.
“Welsh’s comeback is probably even more staggering. Personally I’ve never experienced an injury like it but to be at the point where you look down at your leg and the bone is pointing 90 degrees the other way and then to be making an impact at AFL level only 12-14 weeks is a pretty significant achievement by Andrew Welsh.
“Fletcher is still finding his feet after his injury and McVeigh hasn’t had a lot of football either. These boys are getting fitter and stronger and finding their feet. Hopefully they can keep improving as the year goes on.”
