Crameri kicked four goals but left the field in the final quarter of the Bombers' 67-point win over the Brisbane Lions on the weekend.
He fell to the ground and appeared to damage his left knee - adding to the Bombers' list of early-season injuries. But the powerful forward could line-up against the Eagles.
""I think he's had some scans and it shows no structural damage and no ligament damage so we'll just give him plenty of recovery and assess him during the week,"" midfielder Heath Hocking said on Monday.
""We're pretty positive. But as I said, we've got to wait and see.""
Crameri made a brief appearance at Essendon training on Monday. In tracksuit pants he spoke with the Bombers' team of doctors, fitness staff and coach James Hird, and did a couple of light run-throughs.
Michael Hurley was also at training with the rehabilitation group after suffering a hamstring injury in round four. He did some running and had some shots at goal, but probably won't test his fitness fully until later in the week.
Hocking said the Eagles would be a great challenge for the Bombers, who have lost only one game (by one point) in the first six rounds.
He said the Bombers had a chance to move on to their next block of games up until their bye in round 12.
""I think you can start to work on another phase,"" Hocking said.
""We've played six games now and we'll look at the next five until the bye and then see where we're at there.
""But we still like to work week-to-week and obviously this week is a big challenge.""
