Essendon midfielder Nathan Lovett-Murray ispreparing to juggle his tenth pre-season with promoting the upcoming tour ofindigenous hip-hop group Yung Warriors.

Yung Warriors, backed by Lovett-Murray’srecord label Payback Records, will begin their national tour on November 1.

In a sign of their growth in the lasttwelve months, the group last month won a Deadly award as the hip-hop artist ofthe year.

Lovett Murray said the Yung Warriors hadmade their mark on the music industry over the last year.

“They also got nominated in the urban hiphop category for the independent record awards and they were up against thelikes of 360 who won the award,” Lovett-Murray said.

“It was great achievement for the people inthe music industry.”

“The next tour starts in November which isthe same time as pre-season so I will be pretty busy balancing both.”

Lovett-Murray said being able to play apart in the band’s success was a rewarding experience.

“I started Payback Records up about fouryears ago and it has really helped my football,” he said.

“Sometimes we can get caught up in football24/7 and I think it is good to be able to get away from the footy club andspend time at my office.”

“It also gives me an opportunity to beinvolved in the community and help other young indigenous people.”

With Triple J coming on board for theupcoming November tour, crowds are expected to flock to see this exciting newindigenous hip-hop group.

“Triple J has come on board and we areexpecting big numbers for this second tour,” Lovett-Murray said.

“I will try and get to a few of the gigs, Iwon’t be able to attend the interstate gigs as I will be training with thefootball club.”
