BRUISED BOMBERS
Essendon had an hour long recovery session this morning after its disappointing 33-point loss to Collingwood. All players were in attendance for the session apart from Damien Peverill. Peverill is currently having his arm operated on after fracturing his left ulna early in the second quarter yesterday. Apart from the injury to Peverill, the team physically pulled-up well however according to fitness coach John Quinn there was some very disappointed players. “The team ran, swam and stretched this morning and it was a very sombre affair. The players are disappointed in their own performance and the result. It is up to them to turn it around next week against Fremantle,” Quinn said.
