Rising star Damien Peverill will have surgery on his left arm today. Peverill broke his arm early in the second quarter of the Anzac Day match against Collingwood and is expected to miss the next six to eight weeks. Peverill was taken straight into the rooms by the Essendon medical staff and x-rays later confirmed the break. Football manager Matthew Drain said it is an unfortunate blow for the 22-year old. ""It is disappointing for Peverill given that he has worked so hard to get on the senior list. He has been in good form for us so far this season. The positive out of the situation is it gives someone else an opportunity,"" Drain said. For further updates on Peverill's progress stay tuned to the BomberLand website.
