Essendon Football Club has today announced that it will partner with the Melbourne Airport Golf Club to support the 10th annual Indian Open being held on Sunday November 30.
The invitational PRO-AM sees local Indian golfers grouped alongside various professionals and celebrities in an action packed day of golf and business and community networking.
Essendon is supporting the event as a key feature of its ‘Embracing India’ strategy, as well as to actively support local industries in and around the Melbourne Airport precinct.
Essendon Football Club Head of Community Cameron Britt outlines that the partnership is a new initiative for the club. “We are exploring a number of projects that help to pledge our support to the local north-west community.
The Melbourne Airport Golf Club is located in close proximity to the True Value Solar Centre and is growing strong links with Essendon Football Club, our supporters, our players and our staff” Britt said.
A field of Indian golfers more than 100 strong are scheduled to tee off alongside the likes of Australian Masters winner Craig Spence and 36 time PRO-AM winner Scott Wearne.
