In one of the great stories of persistence, Hayden Skipworth will play his 50th AFL game this weekend.

The 26-year-old made his debut in 2001 and played 44 games for Adelaide before being a surprise delisting in 2006.

He has played five games for the Bombers in 2009 after being taken with pick No.3 in the 2008 pre-season draft.
