Unlike the first time trial in November, there were no surprises from fitnesscoach John Quinn today. The players only had to run the time trial once. ""Ilike to keep the players on their toes, that is why for the last time trial I surprised the players and made them run the 3.2km distancetwice. I think half of them expected that I would make them do the sameagain today,"" Quinn said.
With the exception of a few players, the majority of the Essendon listcompetedin the time trial at 8am today. Damien Peverill and Simon O'Keefe rode a bikearound Princes Park and new rookie Courtney Johns watched the run from thesidelines. Rookie Scott Howard who took the gold medal in the November timetrial recorded a time of 11:23 minutes.
