In a significant show of support for the sixth annual Dreamtime at the 'G tomorrow night, Essendon's ball sponsor, Yakult, has once again kindly agreed to have one of its logos replaced on the game ball with a Dreamtime logo. Yakult first agreed to do this in 2006 when Dreamtime was also a home game for Essendon.
Yakult National Sales Manager David Whatley said they were committed to supporting the Dreamtime at the'G match which is quickly developing into one of the most important games on the AFL calendar.
“Both clubs are to be congratulated on making the Dreamtime at the ‘G one of the highlights of the AFL season,"" Mr Whatley said.
""Yakult is very happy to support the event for the 5th year in a row. Most importantly we are proud to support the admirable work of Michael Long and the Long Walk trust.”
Dustin Fletcher has delivered Essendon fans the news they have been waiting to hear, announcing he wants to play for another two seasons. At 35 years of age - which makes him the oldest player in the AFL - he says he has no desire to hang up the boots.
