On behalf of the board, management, staff and players, I invite Essendon fans to embrace the future and celebrate the past at the upcoming Season Launch.

It has been some time since the club staged a Season Launch but as chairman I think it is vital we gather as one to show the players the support they have as they are about to embark on the 2010 season.

 
2010 shapes as a most important season and indeed a very different one given the changes that have taken place across the club. Led by our new captain Jobe Watson, this young and exciting playing group is ready for the heat of battle.
 
This is also a night when we will look back and celebrate this club’s magnificent history.
 
Two legends and seven new members will be inducted into the Essendon Football Club Hall of Fame. They are people that have made an exceptional contribution to this Club and I can tell fans that among them, is one of the most popular figures to ever pull on the red and black Guernsey.
 
All will be revealed on what promises to be a fantastic night and I again urge fans to show their support for the team in the Victory Room on Tuesday, 16 March.
