The saga of the stolen essendon 'theming' image has come to a happy end.
Yesterday, the 3.8metre high, three-sided image of Matthew Lloyd, Mark McVeigh and Paddy Ryder (see image) was safely returned to Windy Hill intact.
The giant print - which cost $1,500 and is part of the club's on-going theming of Etihad Stadium - was taken from inside Gate 7 towards the end of last Friday night's game by a group of fans (whose club affiliation is unknown).
