Former Crichton Medalist, Jason Johnson, caught up with Essendon's newest recruits this week to pass on important tips .. about cooking.
Food-loving Johnson is now part-owner of Dinenamic - a business that educates people about food and provides nutritional pre-packed meals - and passed on recipes and tips to our newest recruits.
""This (food) is something I have been passionate over my career and the next phase is for me to teach the young fellas how to fend for themselves,"" he said.
Johnson is also working with Carlton and Hawthorn players and reveals which club he thinks has the better cooks.
See the players discuss their cooking skills, their favourite recipes (Tom German loved the Berry Muffins) and who is the better chef at home (a topic Kade Klemke and Tyson Slattery disagree strongly on).
Thanks to Don for providing players with much of the delicious food used.
Essendon football operations manager, Paul Hamilton, will take up the role of chairman of selectors with the club this season. Long-time director, Kevin Egan, had previously filled the role but he made the decision at the start of the 2008 season, that it would be his last year in the position.
