The immediate playing future of Gary Moorcroft hangs on the outcome of a surgeon's assessment this Friday. Moorcroft will have scans of his hip injury assessed and a decision made on whether he will require arthroscopic surgery. Should significant bone damage be detected he will require surgery that will put him out of action for the next six weeks. A more positive diagnosis will see Moorcroft return to football in two weeks.
