Star Essendon full forward Matthew Lloyd was voted the Tag Heuer Player of the Week following his seven-goal haul against West Coast at Subiaco last weekend. Lloyd polled 246 votes to finish ahead of Blake Caracella (217) and James Hird (153). Scott Lucas and Mark Johnson finished fourth and fifth in this week's voting but were well short of the top three vote getters. Hird takes a seven-vote lead in the overall award into this weekend's final home and away round of the season. Hird has 49 votes to this stage ahead of Jason Johnson (42) and Lloyd (41) whose second half of the season has brought him right into contention.
One of this season's lucky voters will receive a Tag Heuer merchandise pack at the end of the season valued at $800. They will also receive two tickets to the W.S Crichton Medal where they will present the Tag Heuer Player of the Year Award. Steven Booth of Geelong was this week's lucky voter. He receives a $50 gift voucher to use at the on-line Bomber Shop.
