Solomon ruptured the tendon in his finger during a training drill in early February. He immediately had surgery to repair the damage and has been recovering since. The return of Solomon next week was welcome news with the recent spate of injuries at the club in the past two weeks.
No matter what happens this weekend, it will be a very different Essendon side that takes on St Kilda at The Dome next weekend. Dustin Fletcher will have completed his suspension and will return while Mark McVeigh, Mark Johnson and Mark Mercuri could all return from hamstring injuries.
