The Essendon 2000 Premiership squad holds the record for the most home and away games won in a single season.
 
In 2009 Geelong became the only club to win 18 home and away games three seasons in a row (2007, 2008, and 2009) and they look set to do it again so, this week, we pose the question: ‘Would the 2000 Bombers beat the 2010 Cats?’

In last week’s poll we asked: ‘Which player would you most like to see selected for Essendon?’
 
Results showed that fans would most like to see Kyle Reimers return to the game day line-up with 68.87%, next was Bachar Houli with 13.37%, Mark Williams with 8.74% and Jay Neagle with 4.63%. Only 5.4% of fans wanted someone else should return to the Essendon side.

Daniel from Eltham says: Reimers and Williams should be walk-up starts. We need more goals and they are the answer.

Joseph Attard from Taylors Hill says: Why isn't Reimers already in the team? Reimers is a walk-up start to the 22 in my opinion.

 
Jaden Frigo from Somerville Vic says: Please bring back Jay Neagle. Get rid of Sam Lonergan. I would like to see Kyle Hardingham get a run and what has Matthew Knights got against Mark Williams?

Ben from Berwick says: I'd like to see Tyson Slattery get a gig. Solid form all season at Bendigo, and there is nothing wrong with having a tall backline, just look at Geelong.

Darren from Perth says: Reimers has to be in this side! He has the speed and the grunt to lift the rest of the side. When we're flat he seems to be the only one to get angry and try to turn it around on the field.

Dave Sutherland from Deepdene, Vic says: Reimers must come back as soon as he's fit as he is clearly in our best 22. Houli deserves more than one game in a row in the seniors to impress. Tyson Slattery must be due for a debut soon on form. Dyson and Slattery should be consigned to Bendigo from now on - they have had their chances and are not up to it when we have almost a full list to choose from at present.

Ellie from Essendon says: I think Reimers and Williams should both return into the side as well as Monfries as soon as he has fully recovered.

Gary Walker from NSW says: Yes, Reimers, just. But the fact that we have so many to pick from for return is a luxury that makes team selection each week all the more tougher. This is an exciting time for our Bombers because we have so many young ‘could be champs’ on the ‘road’ to success. Whether they do or not creates the exciting expectation for the next few years watching them 'mould' into a premiership contender. Come on supporters – get on board!

Andrew Bearpark from VIC says: Why ask for Kyle Reimers to be brought back into the team when he has barely had an impact at Bendigo Bombers due to ankle problems? He was limping last week.

Shannon Hudson from Adelaide says: Reimers is easily in our best 15 players, Jetta, Davey, Zaharakis, Melksham and Colyer are our most attacking players. Winderlich has fallen away. Ryder is showing glimpses of becoming the best in the AFL. The beauty of this is they are all BOMBERS!!!!

Brad Johnson from Cranbourne North Victoria says: I would like to see Margiliani get on the list and give him a crack in the ones. Seeing him at training he has some good size to him and I think a bit more grunt in the midfield would really help Jobe Watson who has been knocked around all year. Apart from that Darcy Daniher or Tyson Slattery as we need to groom the third tallish defender to replace Fletcher eventually to help out Hooker and Pears.

Ciaran Broderick from Craigieburn, Victoria says: Reimers should already be back in the side. Don't know what's happened to Neagle either, he only played Round 1, would like to see him back in the seniors if he plays some good games for Bendigo.

Duncan from South Melbourne says: If Willow could get himself fit and enthused and provided us with what we saw against Carlton each week then he'd be the obvious choice as he has Premiership experience, something none of the other lads carry. Neagle's a sad story, Bachar's disposal often let's him down and with Kyle hobbling around in the VFL there's no need to rush him back into the seniors. Word on the street is the 'other Slattery' (and Riggles of course) is showing great promise but can't quite crack the side - maybe give him a go at least once this year?

Paul Casey from Melbourne says: I believe that Jay Neagle should be returned to the senior side immediately. He has immense class and is a dead eye shot for goal.....There is no point him rotting away in the VFL...

Nick from Mount Waverley says: Kyle is an excitement machine and adds pace and flare to the side. He’s a brilliant user of the ball as well.

Mike from Dandenong says: Kyle adds a lot to our side when his defensive work rate matches his offensive running. Bachar also deserves a game soon; he has been good for Bendigo.
