After his excellent 2008 season, Mark has regressed somewhat due to serious injury and off-field problems. Expectations were very high for 2009, but supporters will be disappointed. Must put it all behind him and recapture the old form next year (Robert Liddle)
Mark seemed to be missing something all year, he looked pretty injured and didn't really have any impact, still think he should be our next captain as at his best Mark will take this team forward (Richard Neudert)
After a great 2008 was one of the most disappointing players this year. Must be given benefit of the doubt however and expect him to come out firing next year (Joanne McSwain)
He had a really disappointing season and didn't look fit at any stage. He has been a great servant of the club and hopefully he can bounce back next year. Maybe a return to defence or a defensive forward role would suit (Sam Reidy)
A bit disappointing but a year largely disrupted by injuries and suspension. Needs to put this year behind him, he is an integral part of our leadership group and team in general. A big pre-season and back to you best Mark!! (Liam Doidge)
Mark is probably my favourite player, he is great. Unfortunately, the Gods did not smile on him this year in regard to injury, and perhaps the episode with Solly didn't help, but he is an A-grade player and, given an injury-free season, he will be up there again! Good luck, Spike (Joan Hill)
One off-field indiscretion and season dotted with injury prevented Mark from having an impact this season. The games he played though, showed his true leadership qualities. I hope 2010 is the year he leads this club to more than one finals game (Garry Munn)
Not one of Mark's best season's by his standards. Was obviously plagued by injury all season which showed by his form on the ground. Have no doubt he will be determined to rectify that next season as he is passionate about his footy and the club (Brett Gillow)
Mark can play heaps better with a good pre-season under him, and he knows that. This year was just too interupted by injuries and the other. I really think he`s in for another big one like in 08 (Cory Williams)
