Essendon’s selection committee have a very tough assignment ahead of them this week with three more players returning from injury or suspension.
Bombers’ general manager of football operations Paul Hamilton says it is a good dilemma to have ahead of what looms as a tough encounter against the Swans.

“It is a fantastic predicament to be in this week from the point of view that this will be one of the hardest selection meetings in the last three or four years,” he said.

“We have got Andrew Welsh back from his four game suspension which is a bonus.
""Henry Slattery is also a chance to come back but we will know more about how likely his return is later in the week.
“Jake Melksham missed this week with an ankle injury but he is back up and running and I would say he is fit to play.""
Hamilton said there is further selection pressure with Kyle Reimers and Ricky Dyson putting their hand up for senior selection after returning from injury via the VFL on the weekend.
“Dyson and Reimers both performed well in the VFL last week and committed themselves well so they will both be a chance,"" he said.
Young defender Cale Hooker will miss again this week but is expected to return in the next fortnight from a hamstring injury.
“Cale is doing well - his recovery is going to plan and things are going well,” Hamilton said.
“We are expecting him to continue to improve but it is a graduated program and we want to make sure that when he comes back, he is 100 percent right.”
