Sheedy has stood the test of time as a coach at Essendon Football Club and tasted a great deal of success - the pinnacle being four day premierships. According to Dodoro what makes Sheeds so good is his ability to see something that no one else can see when he is picking players. ""He obviously is very busy during the course of the year - coaching the team and trying to win premierships. By the same token - he takes a great deal of interest in recruiting and the draft process. Come draft day there isn't a player that gets drafted that he doesn't have knowledge about - he is fanatical about the process. It is good for me because he keeps me on my toes and challenges me and all of my recruiting team. His knowledge is fantastic.
