Gary Moorcroft will have to watch the next two Essendon matches from the grandstand after his appeal against a two-match suspension was dismissed tonight. Moorcroft was outed by the VFL tribunal on Tuesday night after being found guilty of striking Shane Hutchison of North Ballarat. The Bombers immediately lodged an appeal against both the verdict and the penalty but the VFL appeals board dismissed the appeal this evening. It was Moorcroft's second suspension this season.
