New recruit Darcy Daniher is not expected to miss any training - although he may be restricted to non-contact sessions for a short period - after an accidental collision with captain Matthew Lloyd resulted in a minor sublux of his shoulder.
High Performance Manager, John Quinn, said a sublex is where the shoulder pops out of the joint but immediately goes back in (a dislocation is where it stays out).
Lloyd said the collision happened during an tackling drill this week.
""Knighter (coach Matthew Knights) wasn't happy with the intensity of the drills we were doing and he wanted things stepped up a bit so I tried to set the scene and Darcy put his arm out to tackle me and I charged through and unfortunately he popped his shoulder,"" he said.
""He looks like he will be ok and hopefully he doesn't have too many troubles because he’s been great so far. Darcy is one of those Danihers that loves training and he's desperate to do well.""
Speaking to 3AW, Lloyd said Daniher's fellow recruit, David Myers, was selected by the club because of his versatility and well developed body.
""He's picked up to our training and pace right away and I am sure he will get a game for the team soon,"" he said.
""I think Jason Winderlich, Angus Monfries, Henry Slattery and Jason Laycock have really taken their training to another level and they are the ones we need to perform well to get back up the ladder.
""Laycock and Hille are training really well and running like midfielders so if they remain injury free they will be pretty powerful over the next five years or so.
""The thing is we can kick goals ok but, because we turn the ball over too much, we get too many goals kicked against us so we are working hard on our skills, especially kicking while fatigued.""
