So the Essendon Football Club, is in the process of presenting every player that has ever played for the club with their debut guernsey. The number representing the order in which they made his debut for the club is featured on the front of the guernsey.
Over 1000 players have represented the Essendon Football Club over its proud history. So it will take the club many years to present each player with their debut guernsey.
As part of the process and to coincide with the AFL's 'Heritage Round', Essendon chairman Neil McKissock will present each of the following players with their debut guernsey on the ground before the start Saturday night's match against Port Adelaide.
Jack Harrington – played 64 games between 1953-1957
Stan Booth – played 118 games between 1952-1959
Hugh Morris – played 22 games between 1952-1954
Ian Monks – played 16 games between 1953-1955
Doug Dench – played 27 games between 1955 –1956
Ken Reed – played 2 games in 1955
Harold Lambert, who was ranked 25th in the Champions of Essendon, will be accepting the retrospective Premiership Cup from 1949 and 1950.
